The spray from the waterfall is so intense that within minutes you’ll be completely drenched. Plus, the slippery rocks and fast-flowing water mean there is absolutely no room for error. So, while it’s tempting, do take extra caution if you attempt this descent.
Tea Stop and Viewpoints
One of the charming parts of visiting Khedi Waterfall is the little tea-and-snacks shop near the site. After being awestruck by the roaring falls, sipping on a hot cup of tea in the crisp Himalayan air is an experience in itself. It also gives you a chance to relax and soak in the views before continuing your journey.
Right next to this shop, there’s a small pathway leading up to two different levels of viewpoints. Both offer breathtaking panoramic views of the waterfall and the surrounding lush valley. The first viewpoint gives you a closer look at the mighty cascade, while the second one, a little higher, frames the waterfall beautifully against the backdrop of hills and forest.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even go one level further down to another viewing point. But here again, a raincoat is highly recommended — the spray is so powerful that you’ll feel like you’re standing in the middle of heavy rain.
